In the Netherlands you pay income tax on your worldwide taxable income (“inkomstenbelasting”). The Dutch tax year runs from 1 January to 31 December and returns are usually due before 1 May. As an expat, rules around residency, the M-form, the 30% ruling, partners filing jointly, and deductions (e.g., mortgage interest, study costs) can make things complex. With our online intake you provide your details, and our specialists prepare and review your Dutch return so it’s accurate, compliant, and on time.

Frequently asked questions
If you can’t find what you are looking for don’t hesitate to contact us.
Do I actually need to file a Dutch tax return?
Yes. If you received a letter from the Tax Office or if you expect a refund or extra tax. Even without an invitation, filing can put money back in your pocket, for example in a migration year or with mortgage interest and other deductions.
What documents do you need from me to get started?
BSN, DigiD, annual income statements, bank and loan details, proof of 30% ruling if applicable, assets snapshot on January 1, WOZ value, and any deduction receipts. Upload everything securely via our Jotform link.
Can you file for me? How does authorization work?
Yes. You upload, we review, you authorize, and we file. After submission you receive a confirmation and our invoice, clear and itemized.
When will I get my assessment or refund?
Usually within a few months, faster if you file early. You can track the status in Mijn Belastingdienst. We keep an eye on anything that needs your attention.
I did not get an invitation letter. Can I still file?
Yes. Voluntary filing often results in refunds for expats, for example after a partial year of work or when mortgage interest and other deductions apply. We check your situation and file proactively.
What if I miss the deadline?
Late filings can lead to fines and interest. We can request an extension and get you back on track quickly.
I have the 30% ruling. How does that affect my taxes?
With the partial non resident option, certain foreign Box 3 assets may fall outside Dutch tax. We set this up correctly and optimize your overall position.
I own or bought a home. What about mortgage interest?
Mortgage interest on your main home is deductible. The imputed home value, the eigenwoningforfait, increases taxable income. We balance both to improve your outcome.
How do I know if I will pay or get money back?
After filing, check Mijn Belastingdienst for Refund scheduled or Amount due. We explain the result, the next steps, and your payment options and dates if you owe.
I moved to the Netherlands this year. What does that mean for my return?
You will likely use the M form. We handle the cross-border details such as residency dates, treaty relief, and split income, so you do not miss deductions or refunds.
